EXISTING OFFICIALS

Consider yourself a regular official, or been an official for a while and haven’t made it, well, “official” yet?

How about getting your MWA level 1 accreditation? This can be done in the comfort of your own home and at your own leisure! The whole process is completed online, and only takes about an hour or so but doesn’t have to be done all in one go, you can do part of it, leave, then come back to it at your convenience.

Basically, you are applying for your “MWA level 1 operational licence”, which for our very loyal, appreciated and regular long term flag marshals is all we ask. Getting your level 1 operational licence is free, YES FREE, through the online application process.

The link for this licence is https://www.registernow.com.au/secure/Register.aspx?E=12939 otherwise you can visit the MWA website at http://www.motorcyclingwa.org.au/ for everything motorcycle racing state-wide.

If you have any questions or queries along the way, our Chief Flag Marshal Lee Crosby is happy to answer any questions you may have, see him anytime!

Already a level 1 official and wonder what’s next??

Well… if you have the bug, then after just 4 short race meetings with HCMC you can easily upgrade to a level 2 operational official, then from here the possibilities just keep growing, along with the fun. These possibilities include scrutineering or sound control officer to start, which are half day courses, on a weekend in the MWA head office in Malaga (check the MWA website for specific dates), starter, timekeeper, or even work your way up to something like Chief Scrutineer if that’s your thing!

Want to move even further up the ranks?

Become a senior official!

Have you considered the possibility of being a Race Secretary, Clerk of Course, or a Steward?

These are all positions within the motorcycling fraternity in which you can aspire to achieve, all it takes is a little training from MWA and being an assistant with one of the clubs existing senior officials.
